LANGUAGE AND SOCIETY
The Postgraduate Program in Linguistic Studies has a concentration area, entitled "Language and Society", whose focus of interest is reflection on the aspects that characterize language in its historical, social and cultural dimensions. In this way, the area of concentration brings together research that studies the nature and functioning of language, two texts and two discourses, from different theoretical and analytical perspectives. The investigations seek to reveal the variation and linguistic changes (evidenced orally and in writing) and the textual and discursive practices that occur in society.
